Mauritz Agnas was born in 1995 in Stockholm, Sweden.

He grew up in a musical family where music was in every room. His brothers and parents are all professional musicians, active in Sweden and Europe. His mother is a classical guitarist and his father is a trumpet professor in Cologne, Germany.
Just like his three brothers, Mauritz studied at Södra Latin’s Musikgymnasium and then finished his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.

In recent years, Mauritz has played with musicians such as Pat Metheny, Nils Landgren, Georg “Jojje” Wadenius, Lars Jansson and others. He also has his own projects where he composes the music himself, including a band with music inspired by baroque music.
